Welcome to my new blog!  My old blog Distractions is still up but I will be posting all my new stuff here.  Although I may be putting some of my popular old posts on the new blog so they are easy for you to find.

Ok, now let me get to the part you came to read...the part about me.

For as long as I can remember I have loved crafting and sewing.  I first started sewing when I was a little girl, I made Barbie clothes and tiny quilts for my stuffed animals out of fabric scraps. My grandma made me Halloween costumes and school dance dresses (I really loved picking out my fabric and pattern) when I was growing up and I learned the basics about sewing from watching her sew me things.  During my senior year in high school I dove into sewing because I wanted to make/design clothes for myself (I would be lying if I said they were all great creations).  I have come a long way since then and I look forward to learning more about sewing!

I like to think I've perfected the art of multi-tasking, so I typically do my sewing and crafts while I'm waiting for dinner to finish cooking, the children are playing independently or whenever I can steal 15 or 20 minutes.  I look forward to sharing all my makes with you!
